We are seeking a skilled and motivated ICA Technician to join a specialist team of engineers, working on critical instrumentation and control systems within Water Treatment and other complex environments. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in high-integrity settings and is passionate about maintaining the systems that keep vital services running safely and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation, control, and automation systems.
- Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on sensors, PLCs, HMIs, and telemetry systems.
- Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GAMP (Good Automated Manufacturing Practice), and water industry standards.
- Support commissioning of new systems, upgrades, and control panel modifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize system performance.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, fault diagnosis, and modifications.
Experience required:
- Proven experience as an ICA Technician or similar role in Water Treatment, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.
- Strong working knowledge of instrumentation, PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.), SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements, including DSEAR/ATEX, HAZOP, or GMP environments.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Control Systems.
- Full UK driving licence (site visits may be required).
