FP&A Analyst - BI & Reporting (GSU)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen with one of our key clients for a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to support global data-driven decision-making through robust reporting and analytics. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, this role will play a key part in developing self-service BI reporting using MicroStrategy and delivering meaningful insights across financial, commercial, and operational areas.

This is an ideal position for someone who combines analytical strength with a passion for data visualisation, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

BI Reporting & Visualisation

  • Design, build, and maintain insightful dashboards and reporting suites using MicroStrategy

  • Enhance and maintain existing BI content for maximum usability and impact

  • Collaborate with business users to define and refine KPIs aligned with strategic goals

  • Translate complex data into clear, digestible insights for self-service consumption

Data Analysis & Collaboration

  • Analyse financial, commercial, and operational data to uncover trends and opportunities

  • Partner with the BI team to define data requirements and validate metrics and attributes

  • Ensure high standards of data integrity through consistent quality checks

  • Produce ad-hoc reports and analysis to support business needs

BI Engagement & Communication

  • Act as a champion for BI tools across the business, promoting usage and best practices

  • Engage with global stakeholders to understand analytical needs and deliver solutions

  • Build strong relationships to effectively gather and communicate reporting requirements

About You

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate with 1-2 years' experience in a numerical or analytical role

  • Strong academic background with A-level Maths (or equivalent) preferred

  • Previous exposure to financial or commercial analysis is an advantage

Skills & Attributes

  • Highly numerate and confident with large data sets

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Strong analytical and data visualisation abilities

  • Familiarity with BI tools (MicroStrategy preferred) or a clear enthusiasm to learn

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Logical, proactive, and independently minded with high attention to detail

  • Creative thinker with the ability to challenge assumptions and offer innovative solutions

  • A fast learner who enjoys working in a collaborative, global environment
