Corporate Finance Analyst / Corporate Finance Executive - SUPRB ROLE

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a well-known and highly regarded Top40 Accountancy Firm who are looking to recruit an additional CF Analyst/Executive within the team due to significant growth across the Thames Valley region. Helping to manage the delivery of buy & sell side deals on a day-to-day basis, this role will allow you to build sustainable and profitable client relationships, deal with third party advisers and work with a high performing Corporate Finance team with UK-wide transactions across multiple industry sectors. Key duties include:

  • Assisting with buy & sell side due diligence & lead advisory work for small & medium sized enterprises
  • Dealing with transactions in the £5m-£75m deal space across London and the Thames Valley region
  • Project management throughout the entire deal process including managing larger client engagements where necessary
  • Determining the project scope and resource requirements, attending initial client meetings and deal structuring options available
  • Building a rapport with clients, understanding their business and expectations for longer term future opportunities.
  • Preparing IM’s/client reports and other written documents with minimal review points for Partners, capturing all key issues for any higher-level review
  • Using strong Excel and Financial Modelling skills to analyse and prepare future forecast financial information and create business plans.
  • Managing potential investors/buyers, and ensuring a high level of risk management throughout the deal process
  • Monitoring progress against budget and established timeframes, reporting over-runs to the Director/Partner handling specific deals
  • Reviewing work completed by team members in other departments as required - outsourcing and/or tax team
  • Dealing with any client queries on current open transactions
  • Identifying and recognising new project and business opportunities for the team as appropriate

To be considered for the role you should ideally be degree-educated and ACA or ACCA Qualified with at least 1-2 years experience of Corporate Finance deals in an Accountancy Practice / CF Boutique. They are looking for someone who is very entrepreneurial by nature, can manage conflicting urgent priorities, enjoys business development and building client relationships, and can help manage mandates at differing stages of completion. Showing an interest and practical experience of end-to-end M&A/DD deal flow is required and you should be comfortable undertaking some travel to client sites.
