About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to support on a temporary basis, starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of October. This is a key role supporting the school's leadership team, ensuring accurate financial management and reporting during a busy period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on month-end processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and review the profit and loss account, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
  • Manage and reconcile accruals and deferred revenue.
  • Provide clear financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and relevant regulations.
  • Support the wider finance team and provide guidance as needed.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager, ideally within education sector
  • Strong knowledge of month end, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.
  • Hands-on experience managing accruals and deferred revenue.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
