We are seeking a proactive and organised Materials Controller to join our site team on a new build residential project in Bracknell. The role will involve overall management of material call-offs for key trades, ensuring site operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate material call-offs for:

    • Bricklayers (bricks, blocks, cement, mortar, etc.)

    • Carpenters (timber, sheet materials, fixings, etc.)

    • Plumbers (pipework, fittings, valves, sundries, etc.)

  • Oversee ordering and delivery schedules for general site consumables.

  • Maintain accurate records of materials on site and in storage.

  • Monitor usage levels to avoid shortages or over-ordering.

  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and the site management team to ensure timely delivery of materials.

  • Support site productivity by ensuring materials are available when required.

  • Keep stock areas organised and compliant with health and safety standards.

  • Produce regular inventory reports for the project team.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Experience in inventory management or material ordering is essential.

  • Strong communication and coordination skills to work with multiple trades.

  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Experience within the construction industry is advantageous, but not mandatory.

  • IT literacy (Microsoft Office / inventory systems) desirable.
