EC&I Engineer

Role Overview

The EC&I Engineer will support the delivery of a mechanical and electrical (M&E) package in a nuclear environment near Reading, focusing on ensuring outsourced EC&I design meets project requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee EC&I design and build elements.
  • Review and validate subcontractor drawings and documentation.
  • Raise and resolve technical queries.
  • Support project scheduling and delivery.
  • Witness factory acceptance tests and project sign-off.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in regulated industries (preferably nuclear).
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle and electrical safety standards (e.g., 18th Edition, BS EN 13849).
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and PLCs.
  • Technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 environments.

Qualifications

  • ECS Card (essential).
  • Eligible for SC clearance (required).
