Job Opportunity: Head of Product - eCommerce

Location: UK (Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office either Reading, Nottingham, Birmingham or Newcastle)

Salary: Up to £110,000 + bonus

Role Overview:

We are seeking a strategic yet hands-on Head of Product - eCommerce to lead the evolution of the company’s digital commerce strategy. This role involves owning the product roadmap, optimising customer journeys, and driving the success of the eCommerce platform. You will lead the development of a fit-for-purpose commerce experience tailored to the needs of customers. The role will work across the full eCommerce lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration with the company’s internal systems and creating an effective customer self-service model.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Product Ownership: Define the vision, roadmap, and goals for eCommerce as a core product area. Take ownership of the customer journey from browsing to checkout, onboarding, and lifecycle management.
  • Platform Development: Collaborate closely with engineering to make architectural decisions that balance speed, scale, and maintainability. Lead discovery and delivery of key platform features such as pricing logic, product configuration, and multi-tenant access.
  • Optimisation & Performance: Use data to guide platform improvements, focusing on acquisition, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction. Ensure the platform is optimised for operational performance and compliance.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Be the primary point of accountability for eCommerce outcomes. Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business, from developers to C-level executives, ensuring alignment on goals and progress.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on eCommerce platforms and B2B commerce.
  • Proven success in evolving live B2B commerce platforms, particularly in SaaS, ERP, or enterprise technology environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge, with the ability to collaborate with engineering teams on platform architecture, APIs, and integration.
  • A data-driven mindset with experience optimising customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
  • Hands-on leadership with a collaborative approach, able to work across product, engineering, UX, marketing, and commercial teams.
