SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School - Reading

A wonderful primary school in Reading (RG6) is seeking a compassionate, proactive, and skilled SEND Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and inclusive team. This role offers both full-time (32.5hrs/week) and part-time (16.25hrs/week) opportunities, with flexible options for mornings or afternoons-ideal for those looking for a job share.
You will support pupils with special educational needs across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, helping to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where all children can thrive. The role includes both classroom-based and 1:1 support, working closely with teachers and the SENDCo to deliver tailored interventions and promote pupil progress.

Strong observation, questioning, and assessment skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently

Confidence in using IT and writing reports
A strong grasp of spoken and written English

Contract Details:
Full-time: 32.5 hours/week, 8:30am - 3:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Part-time: 16.25 hours/week - flexible for mornings or afternoons
Permanent contract
Pay Scale: Grade 3 SCP 5-6
