Description
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students with special educational needs in the classroom.
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored lesson plans.
- Encourage social interaction and promote self-esteem among pupils.
- Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Support students during school activities, including outings and events.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
- Provide administrative support related to student records and educational plans.
Profile
A successful SEND Teaching Assistant should have:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs in an educational setting.
- A positive and patient attitude with the ability to adapt to individual student needs.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field (preferred).
