Senior HR Advisor
  • Job Type: Interim (Hybrid – 2/3 days a week on site, rest remote)
  • Location: Reading
  • Daily Rate: £300 to £350 (inside IR35 via umbrella)

We are seeking an interim Senior HR Advisor for an initial period of 4 months to work with our Housing Repairs team. This role is crucial for supporting managers and supervisors with all people-related issues in a dynamic environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide comprehensive HR support to managers and supervisors, addressing grievances, disputes, restructures, redundancy, and disciplinary hearings.
  • Offer advice on employment policy and practice related to organisational change, performance management, and ill health 
  • Act as an adviser to management on employment law and policy during disciplinary hearings and/or investigations.
  • Navigate the complexities of working with  workforce and trade unions within a Local Authority/Housing Association context.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor, ideally within a Local Authority or Housing Association.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience dealing with a blue-collar workforce and trade unions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle complex HR issues in an operational field.
