We are recruiting for an Audit Semi-Senior to join a prestigious accountancy practice at the firms Reading office. This is a highly respected, well-known firm and the role offers fantastic career development and progression opportunity.

As Audit Semi-Senior your responsibilities will include:

Assisting the partners and associate partners in the management and delivery of statutory audit and accounts preparation services for corporate and OMB clients

  • Planning audit assignments, identifying key risks, assessing how to test them, assessing and reviewing the budgets through to completing an analytical review
  • Leading smaller audits, supervising, delegating and reviewing work of trainees
  • Involvement in preparing consolidated accounts in due course for some clients
  • Delivering information to clients in a timely manner whilst displaying in-depth client and industry knowledge
  • Monitoring your chargeability and your assignment budgets pro-actively
  • Developing specialist sector knowledge and keep abreast of industry developments

Be part qualified ACA/ACCA with a minimum of 18 months experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment

  • Have experience of planning and completing audits, and accounts preparation
  • Experience of delegating and reviewing work of trainees
  • Good general IT skills and accounting software knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be an authentic team member, passionate about the work, driven to succeed and use initiative
