This top-ranked UK law firm, with offices across the South East including Reading, is looking to appoint a Corporate Solicitor at Associate or Legal Director level. The Role:

As a lawyer in the Corporate team, you'll play a key leadership role in advising on high-value M&A transactions, corporate restructures and strategic business planning. You'll also support junior team members, contribute to strategic client development and work closely with key stakeholders and referrers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on complex mergers, acquisitions, disposals and restructuring projects
  • Manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, corporate and institutional clients
  • Drive new business through client relationships, referrals and professional networks
  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and associates within the team
  • Contribute to firm-wide business development and strategy initiatives

The Team

  • Well-established and highly regarded across the Thames Valley and wider South East
  • Core work involves transactions ranging from £2 million to £30 million+
  • Acts for a loyal and diverse client base including SMEs, large corporates, education providers and professional services firms
  • Maintains strong referral networks and repeat client instructions, testament to the team's pragmatic, commercial advice

About You:

We’re looking for an ambitious lawyer who is ready to take a leading role in a collaborative and dynamic team.

You will have:

  • 8+ years PQE in corporate law (ideally with strong M&A and restructuring experience)
  • A track record of managing complex transactions and leading deal teams
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Experience in supervising junior lawyers and developing team talent
  • A commercial, solutions-focused approach to corporate legal work
