Opportunity to join a prestigious top-tier commercial law firm in the Thames Valley as an Employment Solicitor at our clients Reading office. The firm are seeking an experienced solicitor to join the team for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive HR support to employer clients on a daily basis
  • Guide clients through disciplinary procedures and internal investigations
  • Advise on TUPE matters in transactional work, including due diligence and outsourcing
  • Manage employment terminations, including drafting settlement agreements and addressing related tax implications
  • Represent clients in employment tribunals and courts, handling advocacy for unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal and discrimination claims

Candidate Requirements:

  • Significant experience in Employment Law, gained from a reputable firm recognised for its employment practice
  • Proven ability to manage both contentious and non-contentious employment matters for respondents and claimants
  • Strong advocacy skills with experience representing clients in tribunals and courts
  • Excellent client management abilities, with a focus on providing strategic and clear-cut advice
