Our client is looking for a Legal Counsel with a specialisation in commercial property. The ideal candidate will be adept at legal compliance, contract negotiations, and risk management within the Energy & Natural Resources industry.

Description

  • Draft, review, negotiate and advise on commercial land related documents (including options, leases, underleases, licenses, deeds of variation and easements).
  • Investigation of title and preparation of reports for internal stakeholders following review of title documents, pre-contract searches and replies to enquiries.
  • Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide range of commercial contracts (including framework agreements, service level agreements, sub-contracts, EPC Agreements and Supply Agreements).
  • Advise internal stakeholders on the risks and potential legal implications of matters which arise as part of the day-to-day running of the business (ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and company policies).
  • Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations impacting the business and proactively advise the business on those changes.
  • Work with external legal counsel to ensure matters are progressed efficiently and brought to a satisfactory conclusion.

Profile

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

  • UK/IRE qualified 1 - 4 years PQE
  • Proven experience in commercial property law
  • Proficiency in contract negotiations
  • Strong knowledge of the Energy & Natural Resources industry
  • Excellent research skills
  • Strong understanding of legal compliance and risk management
