We are seeking a Commercial Property - Legal Assistant to join a professional services team in Reading. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting legal professionals with administrative and organisational tasks in the Commercial Property department.

Our client is a professional services firm located in central Reading. As a well established organisation, they provide comprehensive legal services to their clients and are looking for a dedicated individual to join their team in the Commercial Property Department.
Description
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare correspondence, including dictation
- Draft transaction documents and prepare final versions using DocuSign
- Complete transaction forms (e.g., Land Registry, SDLT)
- Open and close client files and prepare engagement letters
- Manage diaries and emails for fee earners
- Handle telephone enquiries professionally
- Provide general transaction support and ad hoc duties as required
Profile
Experience & Attributes
Essential:
- Minimum 1 year of commercial experience as a Secretary, Administrator, or PA in a legal/property environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Comfortable liaising with clients via phone and email
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident using IT systems
- Excellent keyboard skills
Desirable:
- Experience working within a property team
- Familiarity with Land Registry and SDLT processes
