Join our team as a Late Shift Warehouse Manager, where you will be instrumental in overseeing the efficient operation of our warehouse activities, particularly during the late shift. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in metal cutting, machinery operation, and team leadership within a warehouse or yard environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Shift Management: Oversee the warehouse operations from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and return from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM to manage the access for delivery trucks, ensuring smooth and efficient operations during these critical periods.
  • Metal Cutting and Machinery Operation: Operate and supervise the operation of saws and other machinery used for cutting metals. Ensure all machinery is used safely and efficiently according to project specifications and safety standards.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead a small team of warehouse or yard employees, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time. Provide training and support to new and existing staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Inventory and Equipment Management: Monitor inventory levels and the condition of equipment and machinery. Schedule maintenance and repairs to avoid disruptions in warehouse operations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the warehouse. Conduct regular safety drills and training to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, maintaining employee records, and overseeing the timely execution of warehouse operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in Metal Cutting: Proficient in using machinery and tools for cutting metals, with a deep understanding of various metal types and cutting techniques.
  • Machinery Operation: Extensive experience with heavy machinery operation, particularly in a warehouse or yard setting.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and lead small teams, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Yard Experience: Previous experience in a yard environment is highly beneficial, providing insight into outdoor logistics and operations.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work split shifts, including late hours, to meet the operational needs of the business.
  • Driving License: Must possess a valid driving license as a company vehicle is available for business use.
