- Week 1: 05:00 – 14:00
- Week 2: 07:30 – 16:30
- Week 3: 14:00 – 23:00
- Lead and support the daily operations of the Engineering Department alongside the Head of Engineering.
- Manage and improve Health & Safety practices within the department and across the site.
- Organise and implement effective planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
- Monitor plant and machinery, proactively resolving issues to minimise downtime.
- Supervise Shift Engineers and Engineering Assistants to ensure PPM and cleaning schedules are met.
- Oversee spare parts inventory and coordinate ordering/storage in line with operational needs.
- Collaborate with Production teams to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance works.
- Participate in and, when needed, lead daily and monthly H&S meetings.
- Provide out-of-hours support through a call-out rota.
- Support staff training and development within the engineering team.
- Assist with site audits and implement health, safety, and environmental improvements.
- Ensure engineering operations comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in a busy maintenance role.
- Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- A proactive mindset, with the ambition to progress into an Engineering Manager position.
