Experienced Logistics Manager required to take full charge of the day-to-day running and management of the logistical arrangements on a commercial interior fit-out project close to Reading Station.
The fit-out is to be carried out across two levels of the building, with deliveries, waste management, vehicle access, movement of materials etc to be organised by the Logistics Manager. You will also liaise with the Building Manager and client, hence a polite, client-facing personality will be required to ensure the project runs with minimal disruption to the building occupiers, pedestrians and passing traffic at ground level.
Working within a team consisting of Project Manager, Site Manager and Site Supervisors, the Logistics Manager will be responsible for good communications and ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are being adhered to.
The project is located within a two minute walk from Reading Station with good access by public transport - although parking is expected to become available as the project progresses.
Due to the client-facing aspect of this role, candidates at Site Manager level will be considered.
The role will be offered on a negotiable rate, as a fixed-term contract with the high probability of a temp to permanent position with this established fit-out contractor.
