Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer interested in opportunities on a contract basis, to be located in Reading
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute mechanical commissioning activities for complex engineering systems.
- Review technical documentation, drawings, and specifications to develop test and inspection plans.
- Conduct functional and performance testing, inspections, and system verifications.
- Identify and resolve mechanical or system integration issues in collaboration with design and project teams.
- Maintain accurate commissioning records, test data, and handover documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and quality management requirements.
- Provide technical input during project meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven experience in commissioning, installation, or maintenance of mechanical or building services systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and test procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
