Senior Metrology Engineer 

A leading precision engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced Metrology Engineer to take a senior role in delivering high accuracy inspection services, developing internal capability, and mentoring junior engineers.

Working with advanced measurement and inspection technologies, you'll play a key role in providing accurate, actionable data for clients across a multitude of high value manufacturing sectors.

What You'll Be Doing as a Senior Metrology Engineer:

• Plan and deliver detailed dimensional inspection projects

• Operate advanced systems such as ZEISS GOM, ATOS, ScanBox, and PolyWorks

• Analyse results with GD&T and CAD-based reporting

• Work directly at client sites across the UK (and occasionally overseas)

• Mentor and support junior team members

• Contribute to automation, process improvement, and capability development

What Were Looking For In a Senior Metrology Engineer:

• Strong background in dimensional metrology or precision inspection

• Proficiency with ZEISS, GOM, PolyWorks, or similar platforms

• Confident in GD&T and interpreting complex engineering drawings

• Comfortable working independently at client locations

• UK nationality and clean UK driving licence (required for UK/US military clearance)

Desirable:

• Programming or scripting experience (e.g. Python)

• Experience with automation or ScanBox systems
