An opportunity has become available in the South East for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. This role offers the chance to work on a varied portfolio of projects, ranging from major infrastructure schemes to specialist nuclear developments.

You'll be working as part of an experienced ground investigation team, alongside environmental, sustainability, civil, and structural engineers, giving you exposure to a broad range of technical disciplines and project types.

The successful Geotechnical Engineer will be involved in both site and office-based work, contributing to the design and delivery of ground investigations across multiple sectors. Responsibilities will include ground investigation design, slope stability assessments, Phase 1 and Phase 2 reporting, validation reporting, and the preparation of risk assessments. The role will also involve supporting and mentoring junior engineers, while working closely with senior and principal engineers on more complex projects.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should:

  • Hold a degree in geology, geotechnical engineering, or a related discipline
  • Have experience producing geotechnical reports
  • Be confident mentoring or supporting junior staff
  • Live within a commutable distance of the Reading office
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
