Office Manager

  • Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a dedicated Office Manager to oversee our office operations efficiently in Aldermaston. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate processing of wages, managing financial records, and supporting various departments to ensure smooth business operations.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Set up new customers, resolve invoice enquiries, and maintain customer records.
  • Book hotels for operators and order PPE for staff.
  • Chase job sheets to ensure wages are correctly processed.
  • Process wages on SAGE Payroll, including handling CIS submissions and statements.
  • Manage the accounts inbox and create invoices for daily hires.
  • Participate in the recruitment process and provide new starter inductions for the H&S and HR departments.
  • Keep all software up to date, manage credit control, and process credit applications for new customers.
  • Prepare and reconcile fortnightly payment runs, post purchase invoices, and manage credit card expenses including uploading receipts.
  • Reconcile and balance credit cards, update the holiday register, and ensure Zoho Books is up to date for month-end.
  • Work closely with the H&S, HR, Sales, and Marketing Departments to ensure the business operates smoothly.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in improving organisational effectiveness.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence upwards.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and standards.
  • Highly methodical with advanced organisational skills.
  • Solid computer knowledge and experience, particularly with financial software.
  • Knowledge of process improvement techniques.

Due to the location of the site you will need to be able to have your own transport as there is no public transport locally to the office.
