Talent Guardian are proud to be recruiting for a Product Assistant on behalf of a leading wholesaler in the food and drink industry in Reading .This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a newly created role supporting both the marketing and buying departments. We’re seeking a highly organised and proactive individual who will play a key part in streamlining the product launch process and ensuring smooth coordination of marketing assets and administrative tasks.Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate design assets and imagery for catalogues, website, and marketing materials
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely submission of images and assets to spec
  • Maintain quality standards for file naming, artwork setup, and product data
  • Upload new product lines and promotions to internal systems
  • Distribute the weekly internal bulletin
  • Update and manage website imagery via the CMS
  • Perform basic artwork edits (e.g. background removal)
  • Distribute Product Information Pages to the sales team
  • Upload product images to retailer portals 
  • Manage catalogue stock and promotional materials
  • Coordinate product samples for launches, events, and trade shows
  • Maintain the database
  • Provide general admin support to the marketing and buying teams
About You:
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in a marketing or buying team
  • Keen interest in the food and drink industry
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel & PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with CMS systems is a plus
  • Comfortable with tools like Canva
  • Highly organised and deadline-driven with sharp attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage projects independently
