Our client, an Aerospace and Defence supplier is looking for a Programme Manager to join them on a 3-month contract at their site in Reading.
- Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible to obtain full SC Clearance.
- 3 month initial contract.
- 107.34 p/h Umbrella, inside IR35.
- Predominately onsite in Reading.
What you will do as a Programme Manager
- Build and manage relationships with internal/ external stakeholders to ensure all bids are prepared, managed and reviewed appropriately and in line with policies and standards.
- Work with Contract Managers to negotiate contract changes and contribute to the resolution of contractual and legal disputes.
- May review options provided from the procurement supply cycle to ensure project delivery and costs are consistent with contract.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all functions across the IPT in order to influence project activities and execute deliverables in line with the agreed timeframe and budget.
- Translate and apply the appropriate strategy for managing contingency plans in order to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities within the project.
- Lead the project team effectively, through planning, allocation and reporting of work in order to ensure successful delivery of the project/ plan.
- Communicate project progress to the LoB Management team Board in order to provide input into strategic direction for long term plans.
- Ensure appropriate adherence to LCM.
- Accountable for delivering on financial commitments.
- Ownership for delivery and performance of the project.

- Typically meets the knowledge and experience competency levels of the Project Manager (Advanced) or Portfolio Management Office Analyst / PMO Manager as defined by the APM Competency Framework.
Desirable:
- Experience managing subcontractors and third-party suppliers.
Knowledge of IT Service Management frameworks.
PMP or equivalent project management qualification.
