Your new company
You will be joining an established and well-respected Tier 1 contractor based in Swindon operating within the water industry. This multi-accredited and high-profile contractor delivers large-scale clean and waste water capital programmes for Thames Water and offers a strong pipeline of AMP8 works as well as excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. As part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

This is a full-time permanent position based on site in the Thames Valley region with hybrid working.


Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering a 45m portfolio of clean and waste water pipeline and reservoir projects. You'll manage all commercial aspects of sub-contract accounts, from procurement through to final account, while supporting project teams on large-scale capital programmes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly commercial reports and submitting AFPs
  • Managing sub-contract accounts from procurement through to final settlement
  • Cash flow and cost/value forecasting
  • Supporting project teams on all commercial matters to ensure successful delivery.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will bring:

  • Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar) or experience equivalent
  • Proven experience with IChemE and/or NEC contracts and sub-contract management
  • Sound negotiation, organisational and communication skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Full UK driving licence.
