Brakepress Operator required to join a well-established Engineering company that specialises in Aerospace fine limit sheet metal work, based in the Reading area.
Brakepress Operator Job Overview
- Set up and operate CNC and manual brake presses to bend, form, and shape metal components for aerospace assemblies.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine machine setup, tooling, and sequence of operations.
- Select proper tooling and ensure accurate machine calibration for each job.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, protractors, height gauges, and other precision instruments to verify conformance to specifications and tolerances.
Brakepress Operator Job Requirements
- Previous experience within a similar role
- Fine Limit sheet metal work experience would be preferred
- Experience working within the Aerospace sector is advantageous
- Must live within a commutable distance to Reading
- Full UK Driving license
Brakepress Operator Salary & Benefits
- Full-Time Permanent
- Monday - Thursday 37 hours (4 day working week)
- Overtime
- 33 days holiday (including BH)
- Salary Up to 32,000
- Pension
