Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client in recruiting a Pump Sales Engineerto join the team.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of various types of pumps, fans, and electric motors. This role combines technical expertise with commercial acumen to survey plant rooms, understand customer requirements, and provide tailored pumping and mechanical solutions that enhance system performance and efficiency.

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £50,000 P/A plus unlimited commission , plus company van, mobile, 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays & work events.

This is a full-time, permanent role, Monday - Friday, flexible working.Reporting to the Hiring Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct detailed surveys of plant rooms, pumping stations, and mechanical service areas.
  • Identify current system conditions, performance issues, and opportunities for improvement or replacement.
  • Advise customers on the most suitable pumping solutions based on their technical and operational needs.
  • Prepare technical proposals and presentations, including system design options and energy efficiency upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Identify new sales opportunities in maintenance, retrofit, and new equipment supply.
  • Leverage maintenance experience to foresee long-term performance issues and guide proactive planning.
  • Create site survey reports, proposals, and system schematics as needed.
  • Work closely with estimating, operations engineering, PPM servicing, and procurement to ensure accurate pricing and timely operational delivery of projects.

The ideal candidate:

  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills.
  • Commercial problem solving skills.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and servicing pumps, fans, and electric motors.
  • Strong understanding of pump system controls, and energy optimisation.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and create plant room sketches or layouts.
  • Full UK/EU driving licence
  • HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
