Product Specialist – Scientific / Process Applications
Role Type: National field-based role

We are seeking an experienced Product Specialist to join a growing team supporting customers across the scientific, life sciences, electronics, and process industries. This is a customer-facing role requiring strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple projects while building long-term relationships with clients.

You will work closely with the sales team, providing product expertise, application support, and training during customer visits. The focus will be on chillers, heat exchangers, sensors, media separated valves, clean wet pumps, and process gas controls, supporting customers in specifying, selecting, and optimising solutions for their applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • • Drive sales growth of the assigned product range through close collaboration with the sales team and direct engagement with customers.
  • • Provide product, application, and technical support during customer visits and project discussions.
  • • Maintain accurate records of activities and opportunities within the CRM system.
  • • Identify, research, and develop new application opportunities within target industries.
  • • Create and deliver marketing and training material to promote the product range.
  • • Represent the product portfolio at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
  • • Develop strong working relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor to help them solve technical and application challenges.
  • • Consistently achieve and exceed agreed sales and business targets.

Skills & Experience

  • • Education: Degree in Engineering or Science discipline preferred; HND or equivalent with relevant experience also considered.
  • • Experience: Proven track record in sales, applications, or technical support for chillers, heat exchangers, sensors, media separated valves, clean wet pumps, and process gas controls.
  • • Experience with applications in life sciences, medical, or electronics industries is highly desirable.
  • • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills across all levels of business.
  • • Customer-focused, with the ability to deliver value propositions that drive loyalty and satisfaction.
  • • Outgoing, self-motivated, and passionate about supporting customers and driving business growth.
  • • Full UK driving licence and valid passport (European travel may occasionally be required).
