This well-established garden centre is part of a leading group known for quality and strong progression opportunities.They're looking for a strong Assistant Garden Centre Manager to help lead their team and support the centre in day-to-day operations.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Overseeing the smooth running of the centre across all departments, , concessions, and the on-site restaurant.
  • Supporting the Garden Centre Manager in leading a team of around 30 staff.
  • Taking ownership of back-office duties such as managing KPIs, stock loss, and ensuring operational compliance.
  • Playing a key role in health & safety oversight across the entire site, including catering and concession areas.
  • Driving standards across customer service, stock presentation, and team performance.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven management experience in a retail environment-garden centre experience is a bonus, but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of commercial performance metrics such as stock control, loss prevention, and KPI tracking.
  • Confident leader with the ability to motivate a team and uphold excellent customer service standards.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and day-to-day challenges.
  • Comfortable with a varied role that spans retail, operations, compliance responsibilities.
