?? Recovery Worker - Substance Misuse and Recovery Support

Location: BerkshireSalary: £25,000+Contract: Temp to Perm or Permanent

About the Role

We are recruiting passionate and dedicated Key Workers to provide high-quality support to individuals experiencing challenges related to substance misuse. This role involves working with a diverse client base, supporting them in their recovery journey through trauma-informed approaches, psychosocial interventions, and harm reduction strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of clients, delivering one-to-one support and coordinating care plans.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and create tailored recovery plans.

  • Deliver harm reduction advice, including safer injecting, overdose prevention, and needle exchange programs.

  • Provide advice, advocacy, and support for clients dealing with complex issues, including housing, mental health, and employment.

  • Work closely with healthcare providers, local authorities, and other support services to ensure clients receive holistic care.

  • Participate in group facilitation and peer support programs.

  • Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping in line with data protection guidelines.

  • Support clients in accessing additional services, including detox and rehabilitation where required.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in substance misuse, mental health, or social care.

  • Knowledge of harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and psychosocial interventions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and client confidentiality.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
