A highly supportive SEMH and SEN school in Reading is looking for a dedicated Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about child psychology, therapeutic education, and mental health support.

As an Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will be working with students aged 6 to 16, helping them regulate emotions, develop positive behaviour strategies, and engage with their learning. This school prides itself on its nurturing environment and multi-disciplinary approach to pupil wellbeing.

In this Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant role, you will work 1:1 and in small groups to support emotional regulation, behaviour management, and therapeutic interventions. You will collaborate closely with teachers, SEMH specialists, psychologists, and pastoral staff to help foster resilience, confidence, and positive mental health.
