A fantastic SEN school in Reading is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support with a range of mental health and special educational needs. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity and is perfect for anyone looking to gain experience and pursue a meaningful career in psychology, therapy, education, or social care.
You will be working with students with Autism, ADHD, trauma, anxiety, and behavioural challenges. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work in both small groups and 1:1, supporting emotional regulation, and helping create a calm and supportive learning environment.

- Salary: 89-100 per day
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
- Start Date: ASAP
- Age Group: Children and young people aged 3 to 19
- Ideal for: Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, or Education Graduates as well as those passionate about children's mental health
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will help pupils engage in learning by providing encouragement, consistency and support. You will assist students with their emotional wellbeing and mental health and behaviour management; you will also work closely with therapists and SEN Teachers.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role is a fantastic stepping stone for aspiring Therapists, Psychologists, Youth Workers, Teachers, or Social Workers.
