Our client is a leading Technology company is looking for 1st & 2nd Support Engineer.

Some travel will be required, candidate must hold a valid UK Driving Licence.
 

Responsibilities:
        1st line and some 2nd line support.
        Troubleshoot and resolve common IT issues such as password resets, software installations, and basic hardware malfunctions.
        Escalate more complex issues to more senior members of the IT team as required.
        Setup and configure new hardware and software for users.
        Perform regular IT operations and maintenance tasks to ensure system stability and security.
        Actively develop technical skills under senior staff’s mentorship.
        Assist in ensuring all departmental documentation is kept up to date.
        Assist in IT equipment inventory management and reporting.

Skills

Required Skills / Experience

        Windows 10 / 11 administration
        Knowledge of M365 / Teams
        Physical hardware management including laptop provisioning
        Basic networking and patching
        An understanding of cybersecurity best practices
        The ability to communicate with staff members at all levels of the business

Other useful, but not essential, experience

        VMWare vSphere
        Microsoft Exchange (on-prem)
        Cisco networking
        Knowledge of backup technologies
        Associated certifications will be of great interest e.g. (VCP, MCSE, CCNA etc.)
        RHEL or other Linux
