We are working with a top-tier construction company who are looking to employ a Pre-Construction Manager on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the pre-construction phase, ensuring projects are technically sound, low-risk, and commercially viable

  • Chair progress meetings and coordinate design development, surveys, investigations, and planning activities

  • Identify and manage project risks, constraints, and opportunities

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including clients, designers, and supply chain

  • Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, quality standards, and company procedures

  • Support tender and bid submissions, offering technical insight and value engineering input

  • Provide early input into procurement, consents, and construction planning

  • Oversee the integration of temporary and permanent works design with a focus on buildability

  • Manage financial forecasting, cost control, and reporting during the pre-construction phase

Essential:

  • Previous experience leading design, commercial or project teams in civil engineering

  • Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

  • Knowledge of CDM regulations, contract conditions, risk management, cost control, and programme planning

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 (or equivalent planning software)

  • Strong communication and team leadership skills

  • Ability to challenge designs and deliver effective, practical solutions

Desirable:

  • Professional qualification or membership of a relevant industry body

  • Experience with Affinity Water or similar infrastructure projects
