We are working with a top-tier construction company who are looking to employ a Pre-Construction Manager on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the pre-construction phase, ensuring projects are technically sound, low-risk, and commercially viable

Chair progress meetings and coordinate design development, surveys, investigations, and planning activities

Identify and manage project risks, constraints, and opportunities
-
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including clients, designers, and supply chain
-
Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, quality standards, and company procedures
-
Support tender and bid submissions, offering technical insight and value engineering input
-
Provide early input into procurement, consents, and construction planning
-
Oversee the integration of temporary and permanent works design with a focus on buildability
-
Manage financial forecasting, cost control, and reporting during the pre-construction phase
Essential:
-
Previous experience leading design, commercial or project teams in civil engineering
-
Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
-
Knowledge of CDM regulations, contract conditions, risk management, cost control, and programme planning

Proficiency in Primavera P6 (or equivalent planning software)

Strong communication and team leadership skills

Ability to challenge designs and deliver effective, practical solutions
Desirable:

Professional qualification or membership of a relevant industry body

Experience with Affinity Water or similar infrastructure projects
