Location: Reading
Salary: Up to £38,(Apply online only) DOE, OTE £48,(Apply online only) plus overtime at 1.5x
Hours: 40 per week, various shifts available, Saturdays paid at overtime
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Van Technician / LCV Technician / Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a busy workshop in Reading. You will carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs to keep vans safe, compliant, and on the road. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality service while developing your skills with ongoing training and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform major and minor repairs to vans
- Carry out regular inspections and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose faults and support repair planning with the team
- Maintain accurate workshop records and complete relevant documentation
- Carry out wheel alignment, tyre fitting, and customer paperwork
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment
Skills and Qualifications
Essential
- Level 3 qualification in LCV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI)
- Experience carrying out diagnostic and service repairs on vans or light commercial vehicles
- Ability to identify worn or faulty components in accordance with DVSA standards
- Full UK driving licence for relevant vehicle classes
Desirable
- Advanced diagnostics experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
