Location: Reading

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00–17:00 (hours negotiable)

Igloo are on the lookout for Panel Beaters to join our client’s team in Reading on a permanent basis! Our client is one of the UK’s leading family-owned automotive maintenance and repair businesses, with operations throughout the south of England.

Your Responsibilities:

As a crucial member of the team, your role will revolve around the precise stripping and refitting of vehicle parts required for repairs. Following job cards and collaborating with colleagues are vital aspects of ensuring a smooth workflow. Your commitment to upholding high standards will significantly contribute to the team's success.

Key Tasks:

  • Report any additional parts needed to the Workshop Controller/Estimator.
  • Complete check sheets at each stage.
  • Execute repairs with precision according to job cards.
  • Verify repair methods before implementation.
  • Set up welding equipment following established repair methods.
  • Use extraction equipment for safety.
  • Accurately align all panels for seamless repairs.
  • Apply correct fillers for precise repairs.
  • Refer to the operations manual for repair systems and filler application.
  • Maintain a clean work area, promptly reporting any equipment faults.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with other departments for operational efficiency.
  • Report and address problems promptly to the Workshop Controller.
