We are currently recruiting for a reliable, proactive, and skilled School Caretaker to help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Location: Redcar
Hours: Mon-Fri, 37.5hrs pw
Contract Type: Temp to perm
Rate: 13.85ph
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the school premises are clean, secure, and well-maintained.
- Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
- Support with setting up rooms for school events and activities.
- Monitor heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
- Liaise with contractors and report any major issues to management.
- Ensure health and safety standards are upheld at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Good practical skills and a hands-on approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
- Enhanced DBS check is essential (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting).
