CNC Sliding Head Setter Operator - Night Shift
An established precision engineering company is seeking an experienced CNC Sliding Head Setter Operator to join their team on the night shift. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled individual with a strong background in setting and operating CNC sliding head machines, particularly those with experience in both guide bush and non-guide bush setups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC sliding head machines, including bar feed and tooling.
- Confidently set repeat jobs to meet quality control standards.
- Make program amendments for continuous improvement.
- Program new components from 2D drawings, including:
- Internal and external turning
- End working (milling/drilling)
- Cross working
- Change tooling as required and ensure machines are safely set to run unattended for extended periods.
Desirable Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience with program editing and creation.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes.
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Shift Pattern:
- Nights: Monday to Thursday, 20:00 - 06:00
