Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for our Redditch based client who are seeking a Calibration & Service Engineer to start immediately. Career progression is guaranteed for the right candidate.

This is a new role, which will involve calibration and service of Aviation and electric battery charger devices.

Duties and tasks will include:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on aviation and battery charge equipment.
  • Calibrate equipment to industry standards.
  • Diagnose faults and liaise with customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records using the company CRM and databases.
  • Produce detailed reports and manage paperwork efficiently.
  • Monitor stock levels and conduct monthly stock takes.

Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have the following:

  • Ideally, experience in servicing, maintaining, or calibrating machinery (though candidates with the right attitude and technical training will be considered).
  • Technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and methodical approach.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to work independently to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and confidence engaging with customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with good attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel internationally (training and field work).
  • A desire to progress into a Field Service role.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 2pm.
