With innovation at their core and a reputation for exceptional service, they’re growing fast and working with some of the UK’s most security-conscious sectors, including policing and commercial enterprises.As part of their next phase of growth, they’re hiring a field-based Installation and Service Engineer to join their expanding technical team. This role is ideal for someone who’s hands-on, technically minded, and passionate about solving problems.You’ll be on the ground – installing, repairing, and maintaining systems, while providing top-level support to customers.  What You’ll Be Doing:Field-Based Work (UK-wide):
  • Install and maintain intelligent key systems at police sites and commercial locations
  • Respond to callouts, typically with a 48-hour SLA
  • Carry out system diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance
  • Travel extensively, including overnight stays (Mon–Fri), with van and expenses provided
Workshop & Production Support:
  • When not on site, help build, prepare, and configure systems to the highest standards
Customer Interaction:
  • Provide professional, friendly support and training on-site
  • Communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior managers and operations teams
  • Spot opportunities to enhance systems and recommend upgrades
Technical & Safety Standards:
  • Use power tools and work from technical diagrams confidently
  • Ensure all work is compliant with Health & Safety regulations
  • Conduct wiring and software updates (training provided)
 What We’re Looking For:Essential:
  • Hands-on experience in an engineering, installation, or technical support role
  • Confident using power tools and basic electrical tasks
  • Midlands-based for easy access to sites across the UK
  • Ability to travel across the UK with overnight stays
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, reliable approach
  • Clear record and ability to pass Level 2 police vetting
  • Comfortable lifting and handling equipment up to 100kg with support
Desirable:
  • Background in automotive, access control, alarm systems or similar
  • Familiarity with software setup, networking, or system configuration
