Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Location: Redditch
Pay: 12.21 per hour
HR Employment are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Assembler based in Redditch.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drilling and tapping.
- Cutting, soldering, de-soldering and heat shrinking wires.
- Soldering electrical components.
- Wiring
- Using the crimping tools
- Safe handling and use of potting compounds, sealants, and solvent cleaners.
- Electrical testing to ensure conformance to specifications
- Recognizing electronic parts.
- Using multimeters.
- Installing finished assemblies or subassemblies in boxes and cabinets.
- Reading and interpreting drawings, electrical diagrams, specifications, route cards.
- Correcting defects.
- Building products such as electric motors, and electronic control devices.
- Fabricating or modifying parts, using shop equipment.
- Populating or modifying/replacing components on printed circuit board assemblies.
- Working to company procedures, instructions and drawings
- Maintaining housekeeping standards in work area.
Experience
- Good knowledge of the basics of electrics or electronics.
- Good soldering skills essential
- Experience in using crimping tools
- Manual skills
- Ability to work in a group
- Communication skills
- The ability to think logically
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
