Key Responsibilities:

  • ??? Provide technical expertise in fault diagnosis and maintenance, ensuring high standards are consistently upheld.
  • ? Perform rapid and effective breakdown response and planned maintenance to minimise downtime, waste, and costs.
  • ?? Support Continuous Improvement initiatives by identifying productivity and process enhancements.
  • ?? Engage in automation projects, including the integration of existing machinery and plant systems.
  • ?? Conduct diagnostic, repair, and maintenance tasks across plant machinery, equipment, and facilities.
  • ?? Manage electrical installations and swiftly address equipment breakdowns to reduce production interruptions.
  • ?? Investigate root causes of reliability issues and wastage, implementing corrective measures to improve machinery performance.
  • ?? Fabricate or modify components as needed for equipment repairs or upgrades.

Additional Technical Requirements:

  • PLC Experience: Must be confident in interrogating and fault-finding on PLC systems - Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Omron. (Full programming skills are not required.)
  • Panel Building: Experience is essential for the project work involved in this role.
  • The role provides support across manufacturing, facilities, and project work:
    • ?? Project Work: ~50%
    • ??? Facilities: ~25%
    • ?? Breakdowns/Installations: ~25%
      Note: These percentages may vary depending on operational priorities and project demands.

  • ? Ideally from an FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) background.
  • ?? Apprentice trained with a solid foundation in electrical engineering.
  • ?? Qualified to 17th Edition as a minimum.

  • ?? Willing to mentor junior colleagues where appropriate.
  • ?? Approachable and communicative with a hands-on attitude.
