Job Overview
We are currently looking for a dependable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to multiple locations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, time management, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily vehicle checks and pre-trip inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Multi Drop Furniture deliveries.
- Safely load and unload goods, securing all items for transit.
- Accurately complete delivery documentation and logbooks.
- Follow all road traffic laws and company driving policies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, team members, and customers.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 license or Class 1 License, and a clean driving record.
- Previous commercial driving experience required.
- Good knowledge of UK road safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Physically fit – capable of lifting and moving heavy loads when needed.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
