Estimator

PSR Solutions are working with a market leading client within the Civil Engineering Sector to recruit an Estimator to Join their Pre-Construction team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in the West Midlands and will involve work within the Residential Groundworks sector.

Estimator Roles and Responsibilities

• Making initial contact with clients to confirm accept or decline of tender.
• Assisting in producing take-offs and cost database for analysis by others
• Calculate the cost of materials, transport, labour and plant hire.
• Undergo regular site visits to understand the process/ timings and sciences of estimating including the realization of the labour/ plant and material aspect of any given construction process.
• Keeping up to date with inflation and projected timescale costs.

Estimator Requirements

• Ideally an Estimator / Senior Estimator with Residential Groundworks experience
• Will also consider Trainee / Junior Estimator
• General Knowledge of contractual terms within the construction industry.
• Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft packages including Excel
• Effective communicator - Both written and verbal
• Skilled Negotiator with strong mathematical ability
• Problem Solver
