Hello,A Junior Manufacturing Engineer is needed by iO Associates to work with UK-based engineering firm specializes in the design, forging, machining, and assembly of high-precision components for the aerospace and defense sectors. Its product range includes components for landing gear, aero engines, airframes, and actuation systems, serving top-tier clients.

You bring proven knowledge and experience in:

  • Familiarity with PPAP and industrial validation procedures
  • Practical knowledge of ERP systems, with a strong preference for EFACS
  • Direct experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting
  • Excellent attention to detail with a proactive mindset for resolving issues

Responsibilities:

  • Support industrial validation and PPAP processes by developing and maintaining documentation such as process flows, PFMEAs, control plans, capability studies, and SOPs to ensure consistent and controlled manufacturing operations.
  • Assist the Material Review Board (MRB) by evaluating non-conforming parts, providing dispositions, and preparing rework instructions as needed.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by refining assembly methods, enhancing documentation, and improving fixturing for increased efficiency and quality.
  • Utilize ERP systems (preferably EFACS), interpret engineering drawings, understand machining techniques, and ideally have exposure to special processes like anodising and NDT.
