A growing well established FMCG manufacturing business are looking for a Materials Planner to join their supply chain team, this is a pivotal role in ensuring operational continuity and driving efficiency in the supply chain. Salary £25,000 to £30,000 plus Benefits 

What You Will Do:

- Schedule the supply of materials and components to meet production schedules while maintaining minimum stock levels.

- Manage day-to-day supplier delivery schedules and ensure risks to the production schedule are minimised.

- Take proactive follow-up actions to resolve material shortages and escalate issues when necessary.

- Utilise IT systems such as Sage and WMS to maintain accurate and up-to-date data.

- Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and complete deliveries.

- Create statistical reports and analyses to keep the business informed of supply chain performance.

What You Will Bring:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships both internally and externally.

-Previous experience working within a Planning department within a fast paced manufacturing environment. 

- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines.

- A results-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Commercial awareness and understanding of how supply chain issues impact costs and production.

- Proficiency in using supply chain systems and tools to ensure data accuracy and resolve issues efficiently.
