Join our client's team as a Quality Assurance Auditor and play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing food safety, legality, and quality standards within a dynamic food production environment. This position is ideal for someone passionate about driving high factory and product standards through meticulous internal auditing and continuous improvement efforts.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conduct internal quality assurance compliance audits covering areas such as GMP, CCP's, Label and Date Coding, Traceability, Hygiene, and more, ensuring thorough documentation and clear communication of audit results.
- Investigate food safety, quality, or legality issues, obtaining full traceability information and communicating findings to the management team.
- Manage critical quality assurance equipment and systems, including the Olympus Auto verification system, Metal Detectors, and Check Weighers, ensuring readiness and operational support.
- Serve as the first point of contact for operational departments needing food safety, legality, and quality support/advice.
- Perform root cause analysis for various quality issues, including customer complaints and foreign body incidents, and implement preventive measures.
- Manage non-conformances, concessions, and hold notifications, ensuring controlled product and process management.
- Carry out routine and new process validations in line with HACCP requirements and support new product/process trials.
- Actively participate in the complaint's reduction action plan and audit traceability team.
- Provide effective shift handovers and support to Quality Assurance Technicians, covering their tasks as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a food industry production, QA, or technical role.
- Fluent in English.
- Food Safety qualification at Level 2 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience as an internal auditor.
- Desirable: Food industry high care experience, higher education in Food Quality / Food Safety/ Science, and formal training in internal auditing and HACCP.
