Our clientdesign and manufacture precision forged and machined components andare currently recruiting for a Toolmaker to join their team. As a Toolmaker you will be responsible for manufacturing all tooling to engineering drawings within tight tolerances.
Hours of work are Days (Monday to Friday)
Pay rate 15.00 - 18.00 per hour plus competitive benefits package.
Reporting directly to the Toolroom Supervisor , your key responsibilities will include:
- Manufacture of extrusion, mould and finish dies from raw materials
- Manufacture single stage clip tools
- Surface grinding
- Manual milling
- Manual turning
- Polishing to high spec finish
- Bench Work
- Service and repair tooling (PPM)
- Breakdowns
To be successful in the role of a Toolmaker you will hold the following skills and experience;
- Experienced toolmaker with at least 5 years experience in a toolroom
- Experience within a hot metal, heavy manufacturing environment
- Foundation understanding of material science and metallurgy
- Strong working knowledge of engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of measuring equipment such as micrometers, height gauges etc.
- Good communicator and a "can do" attitude"
- An attention to detail and able to work meticulously
