About the Role
Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Redditch Borough Council for a proactive and organised Level Two Administrator to join our Mechanical and Electrical Servicing Team on a short-term basis. This is a key support role, helping to ensure the smooth delivery of essential maintenance services and compliance programmes across the borough.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle incoming telephone enquiries and provide professional customer service.
* Raise and manage job requests using internal systems, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
* Analyse data related to mechanical repairs and servicing to support performance reporting and service improvement.
* Work closely with partner contractors to coordinate planned works and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audit and regulatory standards.
* Assist with the preparation of reports, schedules, and internal communications.
* Provide general administrative support to the wider team as needed.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a technical, maintenance, or local government environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data entry and analysis.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Experience working with contractors or external service providers is an advantage.
