Owen Daniels are supporting a leading Manufacturing (Automoitve and Aerospace) in recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.Location: RedditchSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 p.a.Benefits: Excellent benefits incuding early finish Friday, excellent training & progression, holiday & pension.About the Company:A well-established and growing business operating at the forefront of the automotive and aerospace sectors. Based in Redditch, our company is known for delivering high-quality engineered products and solutions to a diverse and global customer base. Due to continued success and business growth, we are now looking to add a hands-on Quality Engineer to our team.The Role:As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our quality systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement across our operations. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to quality management.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor
  • Monitor and maintain quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100)
  • Perform internal audits and support customer and third-party audits
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality-related matters
  • Produce and maintain quality documentation including FAIRs and PPAPs
  • Support production with day-to-day quality issues and provide training where necessary
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a Quality Engineering role within automotive, aerospace or a related manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards
  • Hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills (8D, 5-Whys, Ishikawa)
  • Experience with measurement tools and techniques (CMM experience desirable)
  • Good communication skills and ability to work across departments
  • HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering or related discipline
